The Cerebellum & Cognition: Doing More Than Just Movement!

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION
Although the school of thought is that the cerebellum has a great impact on physical movements, recent research shows that the cerebellum is involved in cognition and language as well. This webinar will discuss the current research, the impacts of injuries to the cerebellum on language and cognition, as well as suggested practice changes that can better meet the needs of these patients from an interdisciplinary approach.

INSTRUCTOR:

LEARNER OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:  

  1. Identify which areas of the cerebellum are linked to cognitive functioning
  2. Define at least two areas of cognitive and language deficits that can occur in cerebellar injuries
  3. Describe at least two ways to support patients with cognitive changes related to cerebellar injuries

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Participants will watch the on-demand recording in its entirety and complete an assessment and feedback module in the Academy Learning Portal. You will have three months from the date of purchase to complete and review the course material. You will receive a reminder email two weeks before the expiration date.
