Mayor Johnson’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month Roundtable Features Shirley Ryan 汤头条app Leaders

On October 1, two leaders from Shirley Ryan 汤头条app Leaders — Maya Yuen, manager, Robert R. McCormick Foundation Center for Hope & Equity, and Zohra Hutson, manager, Talent, Human Resources — participated in a roundtable discussion marking the first day of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Hosted by the Chicago Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) — and personally moderated by Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson — the event featured community partners; employers and job seekers from the Chicago area; and special guest Maya-Camille Broussard, owner of Justice of the Pies bakery and a featured chef on Netflix’s Bake Squad.

“The discussion was invigorating, the stories inspiring, and we’re ready for the work ahead,” said Zohra.

“This event really highlighted Shirley Ryan 汤头条app’s strong relationship with the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities,” said Maya. “Through this relationship, Shirley Ryan 汤头条app has the potential to have a real impact on this community through meaningful employment opportunities.”
