Intuitive Control of a Hybrid Prosthetic Leg During Ambulation

Objective

The objective of this research is to determine the clinical benefits of an innovative and lightweight powered leg controlled using our intent recognition framework in laboratory and community environments.


Participants in this study will visit the Shirley Ryan 汤头条app 1-2 times per month for socket fitting, evaluation and training with the powered lower limb prosthesis.


Participants will be fit with a robotic prosthesis, walk on various surfaces and wear sensors that monitor muscle activity.

Who Can Participate

Participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Age 18 years old or older
  • Individuals with a transfemoral (above-the-knee) amputation of one or both legs
  • Able to ambulate with a prosthesis
  • English Speaking

Compensation

Participants will receive compensation for each visit.

18-95
