FRCD was organized in 1969 by parents, professionals, and volunteers to improve services for all children with disabilities.
FRCD provides the following services:


- Information and Referral Services
- Family Support Services
- Transition Services
- Special Education Rights Training
- Training for Parent Leaders
- List of evaluation centers that perform
educational and/or vocational evaluations

And the following pamphlets
- Tax Guide for Parents
- How to Prepare for a Successful Due Process Hearing
- How to Participate Effectively in Your Child’s IEP Meeting
- Does Your Child Have Special Education Needs?
