The Illinois home and community based services waiver program provides services that enable individuals to remain in their homes or in a community setting. Included are waivers for:
- Children and young adults with developmental disabilities-support waiver and residential waiver
- Children that are technology dependent/medically fragile
- Persons with disabilities
- Persons with brain injuries
- Adults with developmental disabilities
- Persons who are elderly
- Persons with HIV or AIDS
- Supportive living facilities
The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services administers this program to help improve the lives of Illinois families through healthcare coverage and child support services.
