Community Mobility & Cognition in Stroke Patients

Body

In collaboration with the Max N?der Lab for Rehabilitation Technologies and Outcomes Research, we gave a group of stroke patients mobile phones that assessed different mobility measures (i.e. accelerometer, GPS sensor, etc.). The phones were carried around for three months in 2018, and then participants performed various cognitive tests at Shirley Ryan. We are investigating whether factors of community mobility (i.e. how much a person spends at home, how far they travel, etc.) can predict cognitive performance. One of our current focuses is looking into location type as a contributing factor to cognitive performance.
