About Me

Elizabeth (Liz) Wojciechowski is an Education Program Manager at the Henry B. Betts LIFE Center with over 30 years of experience in clinical practice, research and teaching. She is a compassionate, innovative, critical thinker who is a senior level Master’s prepared RN with a PhD in Urban Planning and Public Policy Analysis. She has worked in community health, mental health, addictions, higher education and rehabilitation settings and led performance improvement projects, program development and evaluation activities that resulted in system-wide changes; published in peer-reviewed journals; and supervised clinical staff. Liz is dedicated to promoting self-efficacy, equitable healthcare and quality of life aimed at meeting the holistic needs of the populations and communities she serves. Liz has conducted scholarly projects, contributing to topic areas that include transitioning adolescents with sickle cell disease to adult-centered care, designing patient-education systems and monitoring resource requests, and developing a patient-centered education model. Several activities that highlight Liz's dedication are leading the original needs assessment for the LIFE Center, playing a key role in the original strategic plans for cancer rehabilitation and bedside shift reporting, and the implementation of the Patient-Centered Care Education Model (PCEM).
